At G & M Family Farm we sell nucleus colonies for those looking to start beekeeping, or recover/develop their apiary. Our nucleus colonies come in small boxes that contain a frame of brood with a mated queen, a honey frame, a pollen frame and a frame of live bees. Nucleus colonies streamline the startup process, and allow you to begin developing your apiary as soon as they're setup. We have a lot of interest in our nucleus colonies and there is a wait list of people who are looking to purchase colonies. We typically begin shipping out our colonies around the beginning of July, although these dates are heavily affected by the weather. Nuc's are $285.00 each and you can fill out the form below to be added to our nucleus colony wait list, it fills up quickly so if you're interested we advise you to submit an application ASAP.
